Weymouth High Boosters

Weymouth High School Athletics and Extracurricular activities are often supported by booster organizations. Booster clubs are organizations that are formed to support, coordinate events, and raise money for all types of athletic teams or extracurricular activity. These booster clubs are run and organized by parents of the students in the supported organization. Weymouth High School students enjoy support from a variety of booster clubs in athletics, music, and drama.

Weymouth Public Schools district policy states that the School Committee recognizes that the endeavors and objectives of booster organizations and similar groups can be a valuable means of stimulating interest in and endorsement of the aims and achievements or our public school system. Generally, actions initiated by boosters provide the atmosphere and climate to foster and encourage community-school relationships. Booster-proposed plans, projects, or activities must be evaluated and promoted in light of their stated contribution to the academic as well as the athletic and fine arts programs of the schools. Care must be taken to avoid compromising or diluting the responsibilities and authorities of the School Committee. (WPS Policy File: KJA)
