Community Service

Changing Tomorrow's Community Service Initiative

WHS Eastern Half of the Globe

Community Service is a graduation requirement for Weymouth High School. It is intended to prepare students for active citizenship as part of the WHS 21 initiative. Community service is an opportunity for students to become active citizens by developing an appreciation for the responsibility we all have as citizens to contribute to the improvement of the communities in which we live. In doing so, students will also have the opportunity to enhance their personal growth, build self esteem and develop their social skills.

Weymouth Public Schools and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation (NEPCF) have teamed to celebrate student volunteers as part of NEPCF's Celebrate Volunteerism initiative.

Current community service opportunities are listed in the Daily Announcements and in the Community Service section of the WildcatConnect app. Students may also visit the Community Service Information area in the Library and in the VIP Room (room 127) to get information on current opportunities and/or to sign up to participate when necessary. Community Service forms are also available in these areas as well as a list of approved organizations.
