Changing Tomorrow's Community Service Initiative 


Community Service is a graduation requirement for Weymouth High School. It is intended to prepare students for active citizenship as part of the WHS 21 initiative. Community service is an opportunity for students to become active citizens by developing an appreciation for the responsibility we all have as citizens to contribute to the improvement of the communities in which we live. In doing so, students will also have the opportunity to enhance their personal growth, build self esteem and develop their social skills.    

Weymouth Public Schools and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation (NEPCF) have teamed to celebrate student volunteers as part of NEPCF's Celebrate Volunteerism initiative.

Current community service opportunities are listed in the Daily Announcements and in the Community Service section of the WildcatConnect app.  Students may also visit the Community Service Information area in the Library and in the VIP Room (room 127) to get information on current opportunities and/or to sign up to participate when necessary.  Community Service forms are also available in these areas as well as a list of approved organizations.


CarePacks, Help Support our Troops!
Volunteers are needed to assist with sorting and packing for CarePacks. Help Support our troops. Packing dates are: June 9, 2018, September 22, 2018/November 17, 2018. Sorting is from 6-8pm on the three Monday nights prior to the packing date. CarePacks is located at 104 Pond St, Weymouth, MA 02190. Please contact to for more information and sign up.

Wessagusset 5K Road Race
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Wessagusset Road Race on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 7:30am-11:30am. Volunteers will help with set up/clean up, directing runners on the course, and manning the water tables. Contact Katie Norton: to sign up.

CPR Certification Course
WHS students may earn community service hours either by earning their certificate for CPR or assisting at the event. Expectations include assistance immediately after school setting up, check-in, healthy snack/water pick-up/set-up, break-down and other duties as identified at the event. Relay for Life at WHS
Save the date of Saturday, June 16th, 2018 for the Relay For Life. We are currently looking or students to help organize the event and also students to form teams and fundraise. We are in need of volunteers to assist with The Wall That Heals: escort guests to and from the parking area; make guests feel welcome; show guests how to find a name on TWTH; direct them to the mobile Education Center; and other simple, but important, tasks as needed. Volunteers must attend a brief mandatory training session on Wednesday, July 25 at 5:00pm. At that time, you will be provided instructions on how to help guests.
