School Council

A school council is a representative; school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members and, at the secondary level, students, required to be established by each school pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C.

At Abigail Adams, this council helps to make the site based decision making. This team sets goals, plans and budgets for school improvement. The involvement from parents, teachers and community partners give all stakeholders a voice in the task of improving our school for all students.
