Good Afternoon, Murphy Families-

Please see below for this week’s important messages.

Holiday Monday

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday 1/18/21 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Full-Class In-Person Schedule

We are excited to continue the process of increasing in-person learning opportunities at Murphy School.  This week we will continue to welcome all in-person Kindergarten students for 4 days / week (Tuesday - Friday) with both K-Shepherd and K-Collins.

On Tuesday 1/26/21, we plan to welcome our in-person 1st grade students for 4 days / week (Tuesday - Friday).

Our staff is working hard to prepare for this change and we thank you for your patience. 

Here is the WPS update regarding Return to School dates.

If you currently have a remote-only Kindergarten or 1st grade student and you would like to transition to "in-person" 4 days /week, please email me at: patrick.costello@weymouthschools.org.

Chromebooks and iPads Issues

If you are having a problem with your device, you must submit a ticket to the IT Department and then call or email the office to do a possible swap of your device.  Below is the link to submit your ticket:

When Should I Keep My Child Home???

 Weymouth Public Schools COVID-19 Weekly Update

This past week we piloted the elimination of our COVID positive notification letters as we added a new weekly dashboard for individual school numbers.  After careful consideration and conversations with both staff and families, we have decided to reinstitute the Covid notification letters from buildings to staff and families moving forward.  It is always our goal to offer the most accurate and transparent information regarding the safety of our school communities.

  If you have any covid questions or concerns regarding your student or even yourself, please feel free to reach out to our nurse. 

Attendance 

Thank you for continuing to email your child’s teacher and call/email the office when your child will be absent from school either in person or remotely.
