HarborOne is participating in the American Bankers Association Foundation Lights, Camera, Save! video contest for teens between the ages of 13 and 18. The contest begins on October 1, 2019 and we are accepting entries until December 3, 2019.
We’re looking for creative, innovative concepts that show the importance of sound money management.
HarborOne will select two local finalists – one from Massachusetts and one from Rhode Island – who will receive a $250 gift card and entry into the national contest. The national contest is awarding 3 winners - $1,000, $2,500 & $5,000.
Teens will create a video that shows the value of sound money management in a way that will appeal to other teens.
You do not need to be a customer of HarborOne Bank to participate.
Immediate relatives** of HarborOne employees, Board of Directors and Corporators are ineligible ( **Immediate relatives include: children, grandchildren, stepchildren, step grandchildren, siblings)

Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program

The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes high school seniors for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills. We provide these scholarships to give young people the opportunity to continue their education to better compete in tomorrow’s workplace.
Applicants to the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program must:
Have a demonstrated commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership
Be enrolled as a high school senior
Reside in a community served by Comcast and/or participating NBCUniversal or Telemundo markets. Please enter zip code below to confirm eligibility
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical college in the United States for the entire 2020 – 2021 academic year
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Demonstrate financial need
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Awards
The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation anticipates awarding over 800 scholarships for the 2020 – 2021 school year. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Furthermore, a select number of awardees will be chosen as recipients of a Founder’s Award. These scholarship winners will receive awards in excess of $2,500.

2019 Horatio Alger Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Scholarship seeks to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students with a strong commitment to pursue a bachelor’s degree and who have demonstrated integrity, determination in overcoming adversity, academic potential, the aspiration to make a contribution to society, strength of character, and financial need.
Scholarships valued at $10,000 each
State scholarships are awarded to eligible students in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders. To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger State Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria*:
Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States; be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2020 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
Be a United States citizen
