Principal's Corner

Principal Lindsey Frat

Dear Wessagusset Families,

It is with tremendous happiness and excitement that I write to you as Principal of Wessagusset Elementary School.  I have been a part of this incredible school community for many years, and I am truly honored to take on this leadership role.

I began my teaching career as a Grade 1  teacher at Wessagusset in 1999 and have loved every moment of my time in first grade...it has been a privilege to watch my students grow academically and socially for all of these years!  Throughout that time my main goals were to educate the whole child, and to help each student realize their own unique strengths and talents.  I am proud that students left my classroom viewing school as a positive, inclusive, engaging place - and I will begin my work as principal with the same goals and outcomes in mind.  Wessagusset has long been my ‘home away from home’, and I want all of our students to feel the same way.

For years I have said that Wessagusset has such a special sense of community; it is hard to describe, but felt by all who spend time here - students, staff, families, and visitors - and I am committed to preserving and deepening that feeling.  I feel so fortunate to be working with an exceptional teaching staff and amazing families!  After the challenges we’ve faced during these past two school years, communication and connection will be extremely important, and I look forward to working together to make each student’s educational experience successful.

I will be in touch in a few weeks with information about the coming school year - we have many wonderful things ahead of us.  For now, enjoy your summer and have lots of fun making memories!

Sincerely,

Lindsey Fratolillo/Mrs. Frat
