Members In Attendance: Mary-Ellen Devine (Co-Chair), Ashley Dickerman (Co-Chair)
 
Also Present: Kristen Kelly, Athletic Director, Karen Monahan, WHS Principal, Siobhan Hearn, Athletic Admin. Asst.
 
The meeting was called to order at 4:00pm
 
AD Kelly presented:
  • Winter Sports Highlights including:
    • Bay State Conference Herget Champs in both Hockey and Wrestling
    • Bay State Conference All Stars
    • Sectional Champs - Wrestling
    • Wrestling D1 Sportsmanship Award
    • 3 School records broken
    • 2 Wrestlers school record wins
    • BSC Sophomore Summit
    • Chapman Boys & Girls Basketball
    • Celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day
    • Go Green Game - partnering with Active Minds Chapter for Mental Health Awareness
    • Coach Kennedy 100 wins
       
  • Chapman & Unified Sports Update
    • 2 Competitive Basketball teams
    • Working on intramural opportunities for volleyball, field hockey and wrestling
    • Track & Field 100 participants
    • Unified basketball
       
  • Winter Athletic participant numbers presented
  • Winter Season Expenses presented
     
  • Spring Season Updates (to date) were presented
    • Including athlete participation numbers by sport
    • Fees collected
    • Current highlights included Unified Track & Field - South Sectional Champs, Girls Rugby Undefeated
       
  • Athletic Sponsorship has raised approximately $40,000
    • Assessing the Needs of Athletic Department to determine best use of Funds
    • Tennis Windscreens
    • Shot Clocks - Gym
    • Scorer’s Table - Gym
    • Subsidize costs within Uniform Cycle
    • 9 User fees Compared with towns in Bay State Conference
