Meeting Minutes

WEYMOUTH SCHOOL COMMITTEE
POLICY SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING

MINUTES

Adams Library Conference Room | 89 Middle Street, Weymouth
Thursday, December 11, 2025 | 4:00 p.m

Policy Subcommittee Chair (Ex Officio): Ms. Tracey Nardone

Members in Attendance: Tracey Nardone, Rebecca Sherlock-Shangraw, Kathy Curran, Mary-Ellen Devine

Also Present: Assistant Superintendent Lindsey Fratolillo

Chair Nardone called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Assistant Supt. Fratolillo introduced proposed changes to Policy JC: Attendance Areas. The changes would update the annual notification date for incoming Kindergarten students and families of their school assignment. WPS has been notifying families by May 15; the updated language would give until June 1 to allow some extra time to create balanced class lists and minimize assignments needing to be changed. The committee agreed to move this to the full committee.

The WPS Wellness Policy was reviewed. Asst. Superintendent Fratolillo reviewed the updated Wellness Policy developed by the Wellness Committee. There was some confusion whether this is an actual update to Policy ADF or if the existence of the policy is sufficient. The committee decided to table this for now until further information is provided by the Wellness Committee.

There was no Public comment.

The meeting adjourned at 4:45.
