Student Services
The WPS Student Services Department is committed to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and physical well-being of all students. The department includes Counseling, Health Services, Registration, and Special Education, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.
We support the commitment of the district and the Weymouth School Committee to provide for children’s educational needs in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) in the provision of Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for all children.
- Counseling: Supports students’ academic, social-emotional, and future planning needs through guidance, crisis intervention, and college/career counseling.
- Health Services: Our team of school nurses provides medical care and promotes student wellness.
- Registration: Manages student enrollment, ensuring families have the necessary information and support for a smooth transition into Weymouth Public Schools.
- Special Education: A significant component of Student Services, Special Education provides individualized support through IEPs, specialized instruction, and inclusive programming to meet diverse learning needs.
