Facilities & Maintenance
The Weymouth Public Schools Facilities & Maintenance Department is responsible for the care, upkeep, and daily operations of our school buildings, grounds, and transportation fleet. Our dedicated Maintenance team works hard year-round to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and the community.
In addition to maintenance responsibilities, this department also serves as the first point of contact for individuals or organizations interested in using/renting school spaces for events, programs, or activities. Facility/Building Use Information
It is the policy of the Weymouth School Committee to encourage community use of school property. Educational, governmental, civic or cultural activities may use Weymouth school property under the established fee schedule.
Building Usage includes requests to use the school for individuals, groups or organizations, including Parent Councils and school activities during non-school hours. The schools are not available for birthday parties.
The Building Use office must be contacted for use of the WHS turf field. (Requests for all other fields must be made to the Recreation Department at 781-682-6124)
Priority is given to Weymouth youth organizations and residents.
A custodian or laborer will be on duty for all rentals. At the discretion of this office, additional paid staff may be assigned to the detail.
Upon initial contact, a contract will be issued from the Building Use office.
It is the responsibility of the renter to obtain insurance and provide proof of such to this office with a copy of their insurance binder.
