Dear Academy families,
Welcome to Remote Learning Week 6. We hope all of our families had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. As we continue to move deeper and deeper into the month of May, we will continue to send out weekly updates and reminders from the school and from the district via email to keep our school community well-informed. Please see the following links below as they pertain to instruction and supports:
Family Placement Survey SY 2020-2021
This is an exciting week at Academy. We are expecting forward progress on school grounds, specifically in the areas of the fifth grade classrooms and the playground. The construction on the lower courtyard will be continuing with the future classrooms arriving this week. Next week, we will be coordinating a day for curbside pickup for student items. Due to the size of our school, we will assign specific times for families to drive up to get their children’s belongings (i.e. Last name groups: A-G, H-M, N-Z). During this time, parents can also pick up medication from Nurse Ali. There will be a dropbox for Library books as well. More information will be released later in the week.
Lastly, I would like to thank our amazing Parent Council for all of the “thank you” signs and gift cards for teacher appreciation week! It has certainly brightened the teachers’ worlds.
Please be sure to check the Virtual Backpack and our social media pages located on the school webpages early and often.
Wishing the Academy Community comfort and safety during this difficult time,
Patrick J. Higgins
