PIngree School has begun an exciting
project using some great new technology. Mrs. Weiner wanted to find a
way to share classroom activities with the entire school and eventually
with friends and family using webcasts. Her idea became reality with
the purchase of a digital video camera and the help of Mrs. Minasian,
our Library Assistant. Mr.Oates was the first teacher on board and his
class produced the first webcast, aired at our monthly school meeting
in October. Since then, Mrs. Carron and Miss Horner combined their
classes for November's webcast, followed by Mrs. Kelly's Fourth Grade
in January. Adding to the excitement, Mrs. Lane, our school nurse
along with gym teacher Mr. Taylor, produced a webcast featuring the
walking club-The Pingree Friend-zees for March. Upcoming will be a
combined first grade, a combined second grade and Mrs. Roger's fourth
grade, webcasts. |
