Community

The Pingree School believes that home, community, and school collaboration is an essential part of comprehensive safe school and school improvement planning. Schools are more effective and caring places when they are an integral part of the community. This contributes to enhanced academic performance, fewer discipline problems, higher staff morale, and improved use of resources. For communities, collaboration with schools can strengthen students, their families, their schools, and the community in which they live.

• XtraMath - A free web program that teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts which are critical to success in mathematics.
• ReadTheory - Reading comprehension program that teaches students to think critically, draw inferences, understand scope and global concepts, find or recall details, and infer the meanings of useful vocabulary words.
