Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS)
In September 2006 Weymouth Public Schools received a U.S. Department of Education Emergency Response and Crisis Management (ERCM) Grant of $233,825. In July of 2009, Weymouth Public Schools received a second emergency response grant, Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) of $216,783.00. The purpose of these grants is to improve and strengthen emergency response and crisis management plans.
