Student Meals are free in 2023-2024
Universal Free School Meals has been made permanent in Massachusetts, starting for the 2023-2024 school year!  All students may receive 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch every school day. Free and Reduced meal applications may still be completed and processed for other benefits that may be associated with eligibility.  Our priority is the health and well-being of all students, so they can succeed in the classroom and beyond. School meals are among the healthiest meals that children eat in a day and we encourage all students to participate.(Read full letter to parents here)

Food is a big part of everyone’s well-being, and students need a place to eat where they can connect with others, recharge, and enjoy a sense of happiness in their school. That’s why we serve food kids love to eat and create programs that encourage fun and discovery. Most importantly, we believe that happy cafeterias start with our people. So we empower them to go above and beyond to bring their personal “extra” for even more creativity and joy at mealtime. Our goal every day is to make sure that students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier than when they came in.

Locally in Weymouth we serve meals to over 6000 students in 10 schools; 8 elementary schools and 2 secondary schools. We do more than feed hungry students at Weymouth Public Schools. We improve how students eat by preparing fresh, delicious and nutritious meals they love! We engage students and all of their senses through the creation of new and fresh dining experiences that improve their school day. Our wide variety of menu items, programs and initiatives nourish student’s bodies, minds and spirits.
