Softball Wins Thriller Over Framingham in Extra Innings

The Lady Wildcats improved to 2 and 0 on the season, showing amazing resiliency through two comebacks, to earn a victory in extra innings.  Sophomore A. Argiro pitched a great game for Weymouth while M. Cronin provided the walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to drive in the winning runs for Weymouth.  The team will travel to Dedham on Wednesday.

 

Congratulations to Coach Kingman on registering his 400th career victory in the win over Framingham.  An amazing accomplishment and a testament to his dedication and commitment to the game.

Boy's Lacrosse Improves to 3 and 1

The boys knocked off previously undefeated Natick 6-5 at home to earn their third win of the season.  Junior K. Cunningham played extremely well in goal for Weymouth while junior M. Vitello scored four more goals to lead the offense.  The team will travel to Framingham on Wednesday.

Girl's Tennis Sweeps Norwood 5-0

The ladies improved to 2 and 1 with a victory at home over Norwood.  The team will travel to Natick on Wednesday.

Boy's Tennis Sweeps Norwood 5-0

The boys improved to 3 and 0 with their third perfect match of the season.  The team will host Natick on Wednesday.

Boy's Lacrosse 8 Braintree 7

The boys improved to 2 and 1 with an overtime victory over BSC rival Braintree, at home under the lights.  Junior M. Vitello scored the sudden victory goal to earn the win for Weymouth. Senior B. Casey had the assist along with the goal to tie the game with under a minute to play in regulation. The team will host Natick on Monday.

The Lady Wildcats earned an impressive victory in the season opener at Natick.  The team will host Framingham on Monday.

Weymouth Baseball 5 Natick 0

The baseball team opened the 2012 season with a shutout victory over Natick at Player Field.  Senior S. McKay went 7 scoreless innings striking out 14 for the win. Fellow Senior S. Hall got the final 6 outs for the save. McKay also hit a 2 run HR, as did Junior O. Colarusso. Senior C.McLevedge had 3 hits.

 

The team will travel to Framingham on Monday.
